1. Margarine 2 tablespoons
2. Chopped celery ⅓ cup
3. Chopped onion ⅓ cup
4. Peeled and diced red potatoes 6 cups
5. Chicken broth 4 cups
6. Milk 4 cups
7. Salt 1 ½ teaspoons
8. Ground black pepper ¼ teaspoon
9. Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
10. Water ¼ cup
11. Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese 2 cups

How to cook deliciously - Potato Soup IV

1 . Stage

In large saucepan, heat butter or margarine over medium heat. Add celery and onions; cook and stir until tender.

2 . Stage

Add potatoes and broth, and simmer until tender.

3 . Stage

Stir in milk, and season with salt and pepper. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup water, and slowly stir into soup. Bring to a boil for 1 minute, and then turn heat to medium-low. Stir in 2 cups cheese, and continue stirring until it melts. Serve.
