Ingredients for - Smoked Sausage and Butternut Squash Pasta

1. Uncooked rigatoni pasta - 8 ounces
2. Hillshire Farm® Rope Smoked Sausage, cut into bias-cut pieces - 8 ounces
3. Chopped butternut squash - 4 cups
4. Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
5. Unsalted butter, divided - 6 tablespoons
6. Fresh sage leaves, chopped - ¼ cup
7. Fresh lemon juice - 3 tablespoons
8. Grated Parmesan cheese - 1 cup
9. Kosher salt - ½ teaspoon
10. Black pepper - ½ teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Smoked Sausage and Butternut Squash Pasta

1. Stage

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.

2. Stage

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place sausage and squash on a large baking pan. Drizzle with oil; toss to coat.

3. Stage

Roast in preheated oven for 12 minutes. Toss with 3 tablespoons cubed butter and sage; return to oven for 12-14 minutes, until squash is caramelized and tender.

4. Stage

Melt remaining butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Toss in pasta, sausage mixture, lemon juice, 3/4 cup of the cheese, salt, and pepper. Serve in shallow bowls topped with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
