Ingredients for - Turkey Bolognese

1. 2 tbsp. olive oil
2. 1 onion
3. 2 stalk celery
4. 3 clove garlic
5. 2 tsp. dried thyme
6. 2 tsp. dried oregano
7. 1 stick cinnamon
8. Kosher salt
9. Pepper
10. 1 1/4 lb. lean ground turkey
11. 3 c. low-sodium marinara sauce
12. 12 oz. whole-wheat linguine
13. tsp. ground nutmeg
14. Chopped fresh basil
15. Grated Parmesan

How to cook deliciously - Turkey Bolognese

1 . Stage

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, celery and garlic; cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 6 minutes. Add the thyme, oregano, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper; cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

2 . Stage

Add the turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Add the marinara sauce and 1/2 cup water and simmer until the mixture is slightly thickened and the turkey tender, 20 to 25 minutes.

3 . Stage

Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.

4 . Stage

Discard the cinnamon from turkey mixture, stir in the nutmeg and toss with the pasta. Serve with basil and Parmesan, if desired.
