1. Turkey carcass - 1
2. Water - 4 quarts
3. Whole peeled tomatoes, chopped - 1 (28 ounce) can
4. Potatoes, diced - 6 small
5. Carrots, diced - 4 large
6. Onion, diced - 1 large
7. Celery, diced - 2 stalks
8. Shredded cabbage - 1 ½ cups
9. Uncooked barley - ½ cup
10. Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
11. Salt - 1 ½ teaspoons
12. Dried parsley - 1 teaspoon
13. Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
14. Bay leaf - 1 large
15. Freshly cracked black pepper - ¼ teaspoon
16. Ground paprika - ¼ teaspoon
17. Poultry seasoning - ¼ teaspoon
18. Dried thyme - 1 pinch

How to cook deliciously - Turkey Carcass Soup

1. Stage

Place turkey carcass into a large soup pot; pour in water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to a simmer, and cook until the remaining meat falls off the bones, about 1 hour. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios

Strain broth through a fine mesh strainer into a clean soup pot. Add chopped turkey to the strained broth and bring to a boil. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios
