2. 12 large egg roll wrappers (see note) -

How to cook deliciously - Wonton Mozzarella Sticks

1. Stage

While keeping the remaining wrappers covered with a damp paper towel until they ready for use, place a piece of string cheese near the bottom corner of one egg roll wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the cheese and roll it up halfway, then fold the sides toward the center and over the cheese. Moisten the remaining corner with water, then roll up the wonton tightly to seal it. Repeat that process with the remaining wrappers and cheese.

In a deep cast-iron or electric skillet, heat 1/2 inch of oil to 375°.

Fry the sticks, a few at a time, until they are golden brown, 30 to 60 seconds on each side. Drain the sticks on paper towels, then serve them with marinara sauce.
