Pour the mixture onto a baking tray (size 30 X 40 cm) lined with parchment, carefully smooth it out.

Place the baking tray in a preheated 180*C oven and bake for 13-15 minutes. Check the readiness by dipping it into the batter with a melchiorite knife. The knife should come out clean.

Remove the tray from the oven, cover the pie with a damp towel and let it cool completely. Shake the cooled cake out of the baking tray on a table lined with clean parchment and sprinkled with powdered sugar or without, as I did. Carefully peel off the parchment on the baking sheet.

Whip the cream until thick and add the cognac (you can leave it out if you are making it for children). Spread most of the cream on the surface of the cake and roll up, lifting the edges of the parchment on which the cake lies. The roll may give cracks as it rolls, don't worry, they can be filled with cream. The pie roll is ready. You can eat it, leaving the top of the pie loaf sprinkled with powdered sugar. I decorated the roll with chocolate icing, I like it better that way!

Chocolate frosting is very easy to make. To do this, you need to heat the cream, but do not boil it. Pour it over the chocolate, chopped into pieces, stir until smooth, shiny mass. Cover the roll with icing. You can decorate the top according to your taste. I applied drops of white chocolate.
