Ingredients for - Almond Spritz Cookies

1. 1 cup butter, softened -
2. 1/2 cup sugar -
3. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar -
4. 1 large egg, room temperature -
5. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract -
6. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract -
7. 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour -
8. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda -
9. 1/4 teaspoon salt -
10. Pink and red colored sugar, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Almond Spritz Cookies

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, five to seven minutes. Beat in the egg and almond and vanilla extracts. Set aside.

2. Stage

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well.

3. Stage

Using a cookie press fitted with the disk of your choice, press the dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. If desired, sprinkle with the colored sugar.

4. Stage

Bake the cookies until the edges just begin to brown, seven to nine minutes. Cool on wire racks.
