1. Thinly sliced apples 18 cups
2. Lemon juice 3 tablespoons
3. Water 10 cups
4. White sugar 4 ½ cups
5. Cornstarch 1 cup
6. Ground cinnamon 2 teaspoons
7. Salt 1 teaspoon
8. Ground nutmeg ¼ teaspoon

1 . Stage

Pour water into a Dutch oven over medium heat. Combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a bowl; add to water, stir well, and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, constantly stirring. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios
