1. Olive oil 2 tablespoons
2. Chopped celery 2 cups
3. Chopped onion 2 cups
4. Chopped green bell pepper 2 cups
5. Chopped carrot 2 cups
6. Garlic, chopped 6 cloves
7. Whole peeled tomatoes with liquid, chopped 4 (14.5 ounce) cans
8. Water 4 cups
9. Chicken bouillon granules 2 tablespoons
10. Bay leaves 2
11. Clam juice 1 (8 ounce) bottle
12. White wine 1 cup
13. Orange, zested 1
14. Red pepper flakes 1 tablespoon
15. Smoked paprika 1 tablespoon
16. Saffron 1 pinch
17. Dried oregano, or to taste 1 pinch
18. Dried basil, or to taste 1 pinch
19. Dried thyme, or to taste 1 pinch
20. Salt and ground black pepper to taste 1 pinch

How to cook deliciously - Basic Creole Sauce

1 . Stage

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Stir in celery, onion, bell pepper, carrot, and garlic; cook and stir until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.

2 . Stage

Stir tomatoes with their juice, water, chicken bouillon cubes, and bay leaves into the vegetable mixture.

3 . Stage

Stir in clam juice and white wine. Season with orange zest, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, saffron, oregano, basil, and thyme.

4 . Stage

Bring the sauce to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer until the flavors have blended, at least 1 hour. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
