Ingredients for - Better Than Pumpkin Pie

1. Peeled and cubed butternut squash 1 ½ cups
2. Lightly packed brown sugar 1 cup
3. Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
4. Egg, beaten 1
5. Evaporated milk 1 cup
6. Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
7. Ground allspice 1 pinch
8. Ground cloves 1 pinch
9. Ground ginger 1 pinch
10. Ground nutmeg 1 pinch
11. Unbaked pie shell 1 (9 inch)

How to cook deliciously - Better Than Pumpkin Pie

1 . Stage

Place squash in a saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, and simmer over medium heat until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain, and cool.

2 . Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

3 . Stage

In a blender or food processor, combine butternut squash, brown sugar, cornstarch, egg, milk, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg. Process until smooth. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.

4 . Stage

Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until a table knife comes out clean when inserted in the center.
