1. Soy sauce - ⅔ cup
2. Brown sugar - ¼ cup
3. Ground ginger - ½ teaspoon
4. Red pepper flakes, or to taste - 1 pinch
5. Water - 2 tablespoons
6. Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
7. Vegetable oil, or to taste - 2 teaspoons
8. Skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into chunks - 3
9. Onion, sliced - 1
10. Broccoli florets - 3 cups

Gather all ingredients.

Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Fry chicken and onion in hot oil until chicken is no longer pink in the center and onion is tender, 5 to 7 minutes.
