1. Vegetable oil ⅓ cup
2. Onions, sliced 3
3. Hungarian sweet paprika 2 tablespoons
4. Salt, divided 3 teaspoons
5. Ground black pepper ½ teaspoon
6. Beef stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes 3 pounds
7. Water 1 ½ cups
8. Tomato paste 1 (6 ounce) can
9. Garlic, minced 1 clove

How to cook deliciously - Hungarian Goulash

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook and stir onions in oil until soft, 2 to 4 minutes. Remove onions and set them aside.

Combine paprika, 2 teaspoons salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Coat beef cubes in spice mixture, and cook in the onion pot until brown on all sides.
