1. Butter beans, drained 1 (15 ounce) can
2. Onion, chopped 1 small
3. Finely chopped jalapeno pepper 1 tablespoon
4. Saltine crackers, crushed 6
5. Egg, beaten 1
6. Shredded Cheddar cheese ½ cup
7. Garlic powder ¼ teaspoon
8. Salt and pepper to taste ¼ teaspoon
9. Vegetable oil, or as needed ¼ cup

How to cook deliciously - Butter Bean Burgers

1 . Stage

In a medium bowl, mash butter beans. Mix in onion, jalapeño, crackers, egg, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Divide into 4 equal parts and shape into patties.

2 . Stage

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; use more or less oil to reach 1/4 inch in depth. Fry patties until golden, about 5 minutes on each side.
