1. 4 teaspoons cornstarch -
2. 4 teaspoons soy sauce -
3. 1 teaspoon sesame oil -
4. 1 teaspoon oyster sauce -
5. 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger -
6. Dash cayenne pepper -
7. 1/2 cup cold water -
8. 1 pound beef top sirloin steak, cut into 1/2-inch pieces -
9. 2 tablespoons canola oil, divided -
10. 8 green onions, cut into 1-inch lengths -
11. 2/3 cup lightly salted cashews -
12. 2 garlic cloves, minced -
13. Hot cooked rice -

How to cook deliciously - Cashew Beef

1. Stage

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, ground ginger, cayenne pepper and cold water. Whisk until the sauce is smooth, then set it aside.

In a large skillet or wok, stir-fry the beef in 1 tablespoon of the canola oil. Remove it from the pan and keep it warm. In the meantime, stir-fry the green onion, cashews and garlic in the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil for one minute.

Give the sauce a quick stir and add it to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cook and stir for an additional two minutes or until thickened. Toss in the beef and heat through. Serve over rice.
