2. Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
3. Soy sauce, or as needed - 1 tablespoon
4. Fish sauce - 2 teaspoons
5. White sugar - 1 teaspoon
6. Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
7. Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
8. Skinless, boneless chicken thighs, coarsely chopped - 1 pound
9. Sliced shallots - ¼ cup
10. Garlic, minced - 4 cloves
11. Minced Thai chilies, Serrano, or other hot pepper - 2 tablespoons
12. Very thinly sliced fresh basil leaves - 1 cup
13. Hot cooked rice - 2 cups

Whisk chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a bowl until well blended. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios

Heat large skillet over high heat. Drizzle in oil. Add chicken and stir fry until it loses its raw color, 2 to 3 minutes. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios
