7. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon

9. Brown sugar - ¾ cup
10. All-purpose flour - ⅓ cup
11. Chopped pecans - 1 cup

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place sweet potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain, transfer to a large bowl, and allow to cool.
