1. Chicken thighs, bone in, skin removed - 4 pounds
2. Water - 10 cups
3. Onion, chopped - 1 medium
4. Barley - ⅓ cup
5. Condensed chicken broth - 1 (10.5 ounce) can
6. Leeks, sliced - 7 medium
7. Celery, thickly sliced - 2 stalks
8. Chopped fresh parsley - 1 tablespoon
9. Salt - 1 teaspoon
10. Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon
11. Fresh thyme, chopped - 1 sprig
