Ingredients for - Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey

1. Smoked turkey legs 3 pounds
2. Olive oil 1 tablespoon
3. Jalapeno pepper, very thinly sliced 1 medium
4. Garlic, minced 3 cloves
5. Salt, or more to taste 4 tablespoons
6. Crushed red pepper flakes 2 tablespoons
7. Ground black pepper 2 teaspoons
8. Water 3 cups
9. Chicken base 3 tablespoons
10. Collard greens - rinsed, trimmed, and chopped 5 bunches

How to cook deliciously - Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey

1 . Stage

Remove meat from turkey legs and cut. Set aside with bones.

2 . Stage

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add jalapeno and garlic; saute until soft, about 5 minutes. Add turkey meat and bones; cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

3 . Stage

Add salt, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Add water and chicken base; bring to a boil.

4 . Stage

Boil for 3 minutes, then reduce heat to a simmer. Add greens, cover, and simmer until greens are limp and tender, about 5 more minutes. Remove bones before serving.
