Ingredients for - Crispy Indian Okra

1. Fresh okra, ends trimmed 2 ½ cups
2. Chickpea flour (besan) 5 tablespoons
3. Ginger paste 1 teaspoon
4. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
5. Red chile powder ½ teaspoon
6. Ground turmeric ¼ teaspoon
7. Asafoetida powder 1 pinch
8. 1 pinch carom seeds 1 pinch
9. Salt to taste 1 pinch
10. Oil for frying 1 pinch
11. Chaat masala, or to taste (Optional) 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Crispy Indian Okra

1 . Stage

Cut each okra pod vertically into 4 long pieces. Place in a bowl with chickpea flour, ginger paste, lemon juice, chile powder, turmeric, asafetida, carom seeds, and salt; toss to coat.

2 . Stage

Heat 2 inches oil in a deep saucepan over medium heat. Lower okra carefully into the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with remaining okra.

3 . Stage

Serve sprinkled with chaat masala.
