3. Water ⅓ cup
4. Balsamic vinegar, or more to taste 2 tablespoons
5. Salt and ground black pepper to taste 2 tablespoons

Shred beets in a food processor.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir shredded beets in hot butter until slightly softened, about 5 minutes.
