Ingredients for - Fava Beans

1. Vegetable oil - 1 teaspoon
2. Onion, chopped - 1
3. Tomato, chopped - 1
4. Tomato paste - 1 tablespoon
5. Water, if needed - 1 teaspoon
6. Fava beans, drained - 1 (15 ounce) can
7. Water - 1 tablespoon
8. Ground cumin - 1 tablespoon
9. Salt - 1 ½ teaspoons
10. Ground black pepper - 1 ½ teaspoons
11. Ground red pepper (Optional) - 1 teaspoon
12. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
13. Finely chopped parsley (Optional) - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Fava Beans

1. Stage

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; add onion. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add chopped tomato and tomato paste; cook until tomatoes are mushy, about 4 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon water, if necessary.

Pour fava beans into skillet; mash into a paste. Add 1 tablespoon water, cumin, salt, black pepper, and ground red pepper; stir well. Heat for 1 minute more. Remove from heat; allow to rest for 1 minute. Stir in olive oil and parsley.
