Ingredients for - Fried Apple Pies

1. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
2. Salt - 1 teaspoon
3. Shortening, chilled - ½ cup
4. Cold water - ½ cup
5. Apples - peeled, cored and diced - 2
6. White sugar, or to taste - ¼ cup
7. Ground cinnamon, or to taste - ⅛ teaspoon
8. Oil for frying, or as needed - 1 quart

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
