4. Garlic, sliced - 8 cloves
5. Fresh green beans, trimmed - 15 ounces
6. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 15 ounces
7. Grated Parmesan cheese - ½ cup

1. Stage

Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook shallot and garlic in the hot butter mixture, stirring frequently, until soft and slightly browned, 5 to 10 minutes.
