1. Ground beef - 1 ½ pounds
2. Onion, chopped - 1 medium
3. Diced tomatoes - 3 (14.5 ounce) cans
4. Beef broth - 3 (14 ounce) cans
5. Water - 3 (14 ounce) cans
6. Carrots, cut into bite-sized pieces - 6 medium
7. Celery with leaves, chopped - 6 ribs
8. Fresh parsley, chopped - 6 sprigs
9. Bay leaf - 1
10. Salt - 1 teaspoon
11. Chili powder, or more to taste - 1 teaspoon
12. Dried thyme - ½ teaspoon
13. Uncooked elbow macaroni - 2 cups

How to cook deliciously - Hamburger Soup with Macaroni

1. Stage

Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until beef is browned and crumbly and onion is translucent, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.

Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, water, carrots, celery, parsley, bay leaf, salt, chili powder, and thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3 to 4 hours.
