1. Ground beef 1 ½ pounds
2. Onion, chopped 1 medium
3. Diced tomatoes 3 (14.5 ounce) cans
4. Beef broth 3 (14 ounce) cans
5. Water 3 (14 ounce) cans
6. Carrots, cut into bite-sized pieces 6 medium
7. Celery with leaves, chopped 6 ribs
8. Fresh parsley, chopped 6 sprigs
9. Bay leaf 1
10. Salt 1 teaspoon
11. Chili powder, or more to taste 1 teaspoon
12. Dried thyme ½ teaspoon
13. Uncooked elbow macaroni 2 cups

How to cook deliciously - Hamburger Soup with Macaroni

1 . Stage

Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until beef is browned and crumbly and onion is translucent, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.

2 . Stage

Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, water, carrots, celery, parsley, bay leaf, salt, chili powder, and thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3 to 4 hours.

3 . Stage

Add macaroni and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 to 10 minutes.
