Ingredients for - Lentil Soup

1. Olive oil - ¼ cup
2. Onion, chopped - 1
3. Carrots, diced - 2
4. Celery, chopped - 2 stalks
5. Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
6. Bay leaf - 1
7. Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
8. Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
9. Dry lentils - 2 cups
10. Water - 8 cups
11. Crushed tomatoes - 1 (14.5 ounce) can
12. Spinach, rinsed and thinly sliced - ½ cup
13. Vinegar - 2 tablespoons
14. Salt to taste - 2 tablespoons
15. Ground black pepper to taste - 2 tablespoons

How to cook deliciously - Lentil Soup

1. Stage

Heat oil in a large soup pot over medium heat. Add onions, carrots, and celery; cook and stir until onion is tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios
