Ingredients for - Original Green Salsa

1. Tomatillos, husked and cut in half - 2 pounds
2. Green tomatoes, chopped - 3
3. Olive oil - ½ cup
4. Mild chile peppers, chopped - 2
5. Shallot, chopped - 1
6. Cilantro, chopped - 5 sprigs
7. Distilled white vinegar - ⅓ cup
8. Garlic powder to taste - ¼ cup
9. Salt - 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Original Green Salsa

1. Stage

Place the tomatillos, tomatoes, oil, chili pepper, shallots, cilantro, vinegar, garlic powder, and salt in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the tomatillos have softened. Pour into a blender, and puree until smooth. Chill and serve.
