1. Unsalted butter - 1 tablespoon
2. Onion, chopped - 1 small
3. Celery, chopped - 2 ribs
4. Baby carrots, chopped - 4 ounces
5. Minced garlic - 2 teaspoons
6. Red potatoes, chopped - 1 pound
7. Vegetable broth - 3 cups
8. Beer - 1 (12 ounce) can
9. Coarse-grain mustard - 2 tablespoons
10. Shredded cabbage - 2 cups
11. Chopped cooked corned beef - 2 cups
12. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 2 cups

How to cook deliciously - Saint Patrick's Soup

1. Stage

Melt butter in a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook for 3 minutes. Add celery, carrots, and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes more.

Stir in potatoes, broth, beer, and mustard, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Stir in cabbage and cook for 5 minutes. Turn heat off and stir in corned beef. Ladle into bowls and season with salt and pepper.
