Ingredients for - Instant Pot® Black-Eyed Peas and Ham

1. Dry black-eyed peas - 1 pound
2. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - 1 pound
3. Chicken broth - 1 (32 ounce) carton
4. Crushed tomatoes - 1 (28 ounce) can
5. Cubed cooked ham - 2 cups
6. Red onion, chopped - ½ medium
7. Garlic, minced - 4 cloves

How to cook deliciously - Instant Pot® Black-Eyed Peas and Ham

1. Stage

Rinse peas and toss with salt and pepper. Transfer to the bottom of a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®); add chicken broth, tomatoes, ham, red onion, and garlic. Close and lock the lid.

2. Stage

Select Bean setting and high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 30 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.

3. Stage

Release pressure using the natural-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, 10 to 40 minutes.
