1. Frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 8 ounces
2. Water 8 ounces
3. Unsalted butter, cut into pieces 1 pound
4. All-purpose flour, or as needed 8 cups
5. Chopped walnuts 1 ½ cups
6. White sugar 1 cup
7. Raisins 1 cup
8. Grated orange zest 3 tablespoons
9. Salt ½ tablespoon
10. Powdered sugar, or as needed 4 cups
11. Milk, or as needed ½ cup
12. Multicolored candy sprinkles, or as needed 1 (1.75 ounce) package

How to cook deliciously - Sardinian Papassini Cookies

1 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

2 . Stage

Dilute thawed orange juice concentrate with water.

3 . Stage

Cut butter into flour until texture resembles coarse crumbs. Add walnuts, white sugar, raisins, orange juice mixture, orange zest, and salt; mix together with your hands. Add more flour as needed until dough is not sticky.

Roll dough on a floured board into a square shape. Cut into diamond shapes or squares. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake in batches the preheated oven until edges are golden, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool, 15 to 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar and milk in a bowl. Frost cookies and add sprinkles.
