1. Shredded cooked turkey 1 ½ cups
2. Vegetable broth 4 cups
3. Whole peeled tomatoes 1 (28 ounce) can
4. Chopped green chile peppers 1 (4 ounce) can
5. Roma (plum) tomatoes, chopped 2
6. Onion, chopped 1
7. Garlic, crushed 2 cloves
8. Lime juice 1 tablespoon
9. Cayenne pepper ½ teaspoon
10. Ground cumin ½ teaspoon
11. Salt and pepper to taste ½ teaspoon
12. Avocado - peeled, pitted and diced 1
13. Dried cilantro ½ teaspoon
14. Shredded Monterey Jack cheese 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Southwestern Turkey Soup

1 . Stage

In a large pot over medium heat, combine turkey, broth, canned tomatoes, green chiles, fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, and lime juice. Season with cayenne, cumin, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

2 . Stage

Stir in avocado and cilantro, and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, until slightly thickened. Spoon into serving bowls, and top with shredded cheese.
