2. Garlic, minced - 1 clove
3. Packed brown sugar - ⅓ cup
4. Soy sauce - ¼ cup
5. Lemon, juiced - ½
6. Honey - 1 teaspoon
7. Sea salt, plus more for garnish - ¼ teaspoon
8. Ground black pepper, plus more for garnish - ¼ teaspoon
9. Red pepper flakes - ¼ teaspoon
10. Salmon - 4 (6 ounce) fillets
11. Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

1. Stage

Heat 1/4 teaspoon olive oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic in hot oil until just beginning to brown.

Mix together sautéed garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, 1/2 teaspoon olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a bowl; pour into a large resealable plastic bag.
