Ingredients for - Turkey and vegetables in tomato sauce
How to cook deliciously - Turkey and vegetables in tomato sauce
1. Stage
Cut the turkey into small pieces, about the same as the beef stroganoff.
2. Stage
Cut carrots and onions into small cubes, dice tomatoes and peppers a little more coarsely.
3. Stage
In a skillet over high heat, fry the turkey with the sunflower oil until golden brown. My meat was releasing a lot of moisture, so I evaporated it and let the meat brown a little more.
4. Stage
Reduce heat to medium and add vegetables one by one: carrot-onion-pepper-tomato. Fry each batch of vegetables with the meat for 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle with pepper mixture.
5. Stage
If necessary, add some liquid - it can be water, broth or tomato juice, as I did - close the lid and cook on low heat until the meat is ready. For the sauce: mix all the ingredients listed for it except for the flour. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. In the original recipe, the author adds 1 tbsp. vinegar instead of tomato juice, but I decided for myself to replace it with homemade tomato juice without any spices, it is also sour, I added about 4 tbsp. Mix everything well and add a little flour, stirring constantly, until homogeneous.
6. Stage
When the meat is ready, add the sauce, stir and simmer a little without a lid, let it thicken. If necessary, add salt/sugar/pepper.
