1. 2 cups seven-grain hot cereal -
2. 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped -
3. 1/4 cup dried apricots, chopped -
4. 1/4 cup dried cranberries -
5. 1/4 cup chopped dates -
6. 1/4 cup raisins -
7. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon -
8. 1/2 teaspoon salt -
9. 5 cups water -
10. 1 cup unsweetened apple juice -
11. 1/4 cup maple syrup -
12. Chopped walnuts, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Warm ‘n’ Fruity Breakfast Cereal

1. Stage

Place first 8 ingredients in a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker coated with cooking spray. Stir in water, juice and syrup.

2. Stage

Cook, covered, on low until thickened and cereal is tender, 6-7 hours. If desired, top with walnuts.
