1. Whole wheat pastry flour 2 ½ cups
2. Baking powder 2 teaspoons
3. Baking soda 1 teaspoon
4. Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
5. Salt ½ teaspoon
6. Nutmeg 1 pinch
7. Apples, peeled and sliced 2 medium
8. Plums, peeled and sliced 2
9. Butter, melted 2 teaspoons
10. White sugar 1 cup
11. Applesauce ½ cup
12. Orange juice ⅓ cup
13. Oil ¼ cup
14. Eggs, lightly beaten 2
15. Minced fresh ginger 2 teaspoons
16. Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
17. White sugar 3 tablespoons
18. Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Apple-Plum Cake

1 . Stage

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.

2 . Stage

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg into a large bowl. Toss 1/2 of the apples and 1/2 of the plums into the flour mixture. Place remaining apples and plums in a second bowl and toss with melted butter.

3 . Stage

Mix together sugar, applesauce, orange juice, oil, eggs, ginger, and vanilla extract in a third bowl. Mix together sugar and cinnamon in a small, fourth bowl.

4 . Stage

Fold applesauce mixture into the flour mixture until just moistened. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the prepared baking pan and layer with apples and plums. Pour remaining batter on top and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.

5 . Stage

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes.
