1. Ground beef 1 pound
2. Diced red onion 1 cup
3. Chopped carrot 1 cup
4. Garlic, minced 2 cloves
5. Coarsely chopped red cabbage 4 cups
6. Beef broth 4 cups
7. Water 2 cups
8. Pinto beans, rinsed and drained 1 (15 ounce) can
9. Tomato paste 1 (6 ounce) can
10. Salt 2 teaspoons
11. Ground cumin 1 teaspoon
12. Ground black pepper 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Beef and Red Cabbage Soup

1 . Stage

Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot pot until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.

2 . Stage

Add onion and carrot to beef. Saute until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes, adding garlic during the last minute. Add cabbage, broth, water, pinto beans, tomato paste, salt, cumin, and pepper; bring to a boil.

3 . Stage

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours.
