1. Onion, chopped - 1 medium
2. Lean ground lamb - 1 pound
3. Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
4. Red pepper flakes - ½ teaspoon
5. Dried basil - ½ tablespoon
6. Cumin - 1 teaspoon
7. Cinnamon - ⅛ teaspoon
8. Garlic, minced - 2 large cloves
9. Chili powder - 3 ½ tablespoons
10. Dried oregano - ½ teaspoon
11. Unsweetened cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon
12. White sugar - 1 teaspoon
13. Bay leaf - 1
14. Salt and pepper to taste - 1
15. Diced tomatoes with juice - 1 (14.5 ounce) can
16. Red beans, with liquid - 4 cups

How to cook deliciously - Bry's Chocolate Lamb Chili

1. Stage

In a large pot, cook onions and ground lamb in olive oil over medium heat.

2. Stage

When onions are soft and meat browned, season with red pepper flakes, basil, cumin, cinnamon, garlic, chili powder, dried oregano, cocoa powder, sugar, and bay leaf, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 1 or 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and beans. Increase heat to bring soup to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
