Ingredients for - Corn and Rice

1. Bacon, chopped - 1 slice
2. Onion, chopped - ½
3. Green bell pepper, chopped - ¼
4. Chopped fresh thyme - ½ teaspoon
5. Tomato sauce - ½ cup
6. Browning sauce - 1 teaspoon
7. Salt - 1 teaspoon
8. Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon
9. Red pepper flakes - 1 pinch
10. Whole kernel corn, drained - 2 (14 ounce) cans
11. Water - 3 ½ cups
12. White rice - 2 cups

How to cook deliciously - Corn and Rice

1. Stage

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir bacon in the hot skillet until grease begins to render. Add onion, bell pepper, and thyme; cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is nearly translucent. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in tomato sauce, browning sauce, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes; simmer for 3 minutes.

Add corn; simmer for 3 more minutes. Slowly pour in water while stirring. Increase heat to high and stir in rice; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes.
