Ingredients for - Corn Fritters

1. Oil for frying 3 cups
2. Sifted all-purpose flour 1 cup
3. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
4. Salt ½ teaspoon
5. White sugar ¼ teaspoon
6. Egg, lightly beaten 1 large
7. Milk ½ cup
8. Shortening, melted 1 tablespoon
9. Whole kernel corn, drained 1 (12 ounce) can

How to cook deliciously - Corn Fritters

1 . Stage

Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).

2 . Stage

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a medium bowl. Beat egg, milk, and melted shortening together in a small bowl. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture. Stir in corn.

3 . Stage

Working in batches, drop fritter batter by spoonfuls into the hot oil. Fry until golden.

4 . Stage

Remove fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Jim Morehand
