1. All-purpose flour - 2 ¼ cups
2. Cocoa powder, or more to taste - ½ cup
3. Salt - 1 teaspoon
4. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
5. White sugar - ½ cup
6. Brown sugar - ½ cup
7. Butter, softened - ½ cup
8. Shortening - ½ cup
9. Large eggs - 2
10. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
11. Semi-sweet chocolate chips, or more to taste - 1 cup
12. Chopped walnuts (Optional) - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Double Coco Double Chocolate Chip Cookies (a twist on Toll House® cookies)

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2. Stage

Mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda together in a large bowl. Whisk white sugar, brown sugar, butter, shortening, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl until smooth. Stir sugar mixture into flour mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Spoon batter, 1 to 2 tablespoons per cookie, onto a baking sheet.
