1. Fire-roasted diced tomatoes, drained 2 (14.5 ounce) cans
2. Whole beets, drained 1 (15 ounce) can
3. Tomato paste 1 (6 ounce) can
4. Beef stock, divided 26 ounces
5. White sugar, or more to taste 1 tablespoon
6. Dried dill weed ½ teaspoon
7. Hot pepper sauce, or more to taste (Optional) 3 drops
8. Salt and ground black pepper to taste 3 drops

1 . Stage

Puree tomatoes, beets, tomato paste, and 1/2 cup beef stock together in a blender until smooth.

Pour tomato mixture into a saucepan with the remaining beef stock. Stir sugar, dill, hot pepper sauce, salt, and pepper into the tomato mixture.
