1. Butter, softened 1 cup
2. All-purpose flour 2 ½ cups
3. White sugar ½ cup
4. Packed brown sugar ½ cup
5. Egg 1
6. Baking powder 1 teaspoon
7. Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
8. Raspberry preserves ¼ cup
9. Confectioners' sugar for decoration ⅓ cup

1 . Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.

Cream the butter with the white sugar and brown sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
