Ingredients for - Loaded Mashed Potatoes

1. Bacon, or more to taste - 4 slices
2. Potatoes, or more to taste, peeled and cut into chunks - 3 pounds
3. Butter, cut into pieces - ½ cup
4. Sour cream - 1 (16 ounce) container
5. Shredded Cheddar cheese - 8 ounces
6. Chopped fresh chives (Optional) - ½
7. Salt and ground black pepper to taste - ½

How to cook deliciously - Loaded Mashed Potatoes

1. Stage

Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until crisp and browned, about 10 minutes; drain on paper towels.

2. Stage

At the same time, place potatoes into a large pot of lightly salted water and bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain well and return potatoes to the pot.

3. Stage

Mash butter into the potatoes using a potato masher or electric hand mixer until well combined. Add sour cream and continue to mash or beat until combined. Crumble bacon into potato mixture; stir in Cheddar cheese and chives. Season with salt and pepper.
