Ingredients for - Low Sugar Date Cake

1. Margarine - ½ cup
2. Eggs - 2
3. Liquid sweetener - 1 tablespoon
4. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
5. Ground cloves - ¼ teaspoon
6. Ground cinnamon - ¼ teaspoon
7. Self-rising flour - 2 cups
8. Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
9. Dates, pitted and chopped - 1 cup
10. Chopped pecans - 1 cup
11. Unsweetened applesauce - 1 ½ cups

How to cook deliciously - Low Sugar Date Cake

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease and flour an 8x8 inch pan.

2. Stage

In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, eggs, sweetener, vanilla, cloves and cinnamon until creamy. Sift together the flour and baking powder, and mix in. Fold in dates, chopped pecans and applesauce. Pour batter into prepared pan.

3. Stage

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
