Ingredients for - Macaroni Salad with a Twist

1. Small seashell pasta - 1 (16 ounce) package
2. Mayonnaise - 1 cup
3. Distilled white vinegar - ¼ cup
4. White sugar - ⅔ cup
5. Prepared yellow mustard - 2 ½ tablespoons
6. Salt - 1 ½ teaspoons
7. Ground black pepper - ½ teaspoon
8. Vidalia or sweet onion, chopped - 1 large
9. Celery, chopped - 2 stalks
10. Green bell pepper, seeded and chopped - 1
11. Grated carrots - ¼ cup
12. Diced cooked ham - 1 pound

How to cook deliciously - Macaroni Salad with a Twist

1. Stage

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain pasta, but do not rinse. Let stand 5 minutes.

2. Stage

To make the dressing, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Set aside.

3. Stage

Combine the onion, celery, bell pepper, carrots, and ham in a large bowl. Stir in the dressing. Add the pasta and toss gently to blend all ingredients. Chill at least 4 hours before serving.
