1. Dough for single-crust pie -
2. 2 large eggs -
3. 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin -
4. 1 cup evaporated milk -
5. 3/4 cup sugar -
6. 1/2 cup maple syrup -
7. 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice -
8. 1/4 teaspoon salt -
9. MAPLE WHIPPED CREAM: -
10. 1 cup heavy whipping cream -
11. 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar -
12. 1 tablespoon maple syrup -
13. 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice -
14. Chopped pecans, optional -

How to cook deliciously - Maple Pumpkin Pie

1. Stage

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to 1/8-inch-thick circle, then carefully transfer that to a 9-inch pie plate. Trim the edges so they’re about 1/2 inch beyond the rim of the plate, then flute the edges however you like. Refrigerate the crust while you prepare the filling.

2. Stage

Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice and salt. Beat until everything is smooth and well combined. Then pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

Bake the pie for 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°, and bake the maple syrup pumpkin pie for another 45 to 50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the top of the pie is set. If the edges are getting too brown, cover them with foil during the last 15 minutes. Let the pie cool on a wire rack for an hour, then refrigerate it overnight or until fully set.

4. Stage

In a small bowl, beat the heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice until stiff peaks form. Pipe or dollop the topping onto the pie and sprinkle it with the chopped pecans, if you’re using them.
