1. 3 cups sliced peeled cooked sweet potatoes -
2. 3 cups sliced peeled tart apples (about 2 large) -
3. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar -
4. 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg -
5. 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice -
6. 1/4 teaspoon salt -
7. Dash pepper -
8. 1 tablespoon butter -

How to cook deliciously - Healthy Apple Sweet Potato Bake

1. Stage

In a greased 1-1/2 quart baking dish, layer half of the sweet potatoes and apples.

2. Stage

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, nutmeg, allspice, salt and pepper. Sprinkle half over sweet potatoes and apples and dot with half the butter. Repeat these layers.

3. Stage

Cover and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Baste with pan juices. Bake, uncovered, 15 minutes longer or until the apples are tender.
