4. Bourbon whiskey - ¼ cup
5. Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
6. All-purpose flour, plus more for dusting - 3 cups
7. Baking powder - 1 tablespoon
8. Coarsely chopped butterscotch chips - 1 cup
9. Coarsely chopped pecans - ¾ cup
10. Egg, beaten (for egg wash) - 1

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Whisk sugar and 3 eggs together in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in butter, bourbon, and vanilla extract.

Sift flour and baking powder together in a small bowl; add to egg mixture and stir until smooth dough forms. Fold in butterscotch chips and pecans.
