Ingredients for - Molasses Cookies II

1. Shortening ¾ cup
2. Packed brown sugar 1 cup
3. Egg 1
4. Light molasses ½ cup
5. All-purpose flour 2 ½ cups
6. Salt 1 teaspoon
7. Baking soda 2 teaspoons
8. Ground cloves ½ teaspoon
9. Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
10. Ground ginger 1 teaspoon

How to cook deliciously - Molasses Cookies II

1 . Stage

Cream together shortening and brown sugar. Stir in egg and molasses and mix well. Fold in dry ingredients and stir. Cover and chill until firm (1 - 2 hours).

2 . Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

3 . Stage

Roll dough into small balls (I use a small melon baller to help with this) and roll in white sugar. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets.

4 . Stage

Bake 9 - 10 minutes. Leave on cookie sheet one minute until set.
