1. Packed brown sugar - 1 ¼ cups
2. Butter, softened - 1 cup
3. White sugar - ½ cup
4. Eggs - 2 large
5. Milk - 2 tablespoons
6. Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
7. All-purpose flour - 1 ¾ cups
8. Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
9. Salt (Optional) - ½ teaspoon
10. Rolled oats - 3 cups
11. Semisweet chocolate chips - 2 cups
12. Chopped walnuts (Optional) - 1 cup
13. Shredded coconut - 1 cup

1. Stage

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Cream together brown sugar, butter, and white sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla.
