1. Shortening - ½ cup
2. White sugar - 1 cup
3. Egg - 1
4. Vanilla extract - ½ teaspoon
5. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
6. Baking soda - ½ teaspoon
7. Baking powder - ½ teaspoon
8. Salt - ¼ teaspoon
9. Ground cloves - ½ teaspoon
10. Ground cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
11. Ground nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
12. Raisins - 1 cup
13. Chopped walnuts - 1 cup
14. Salt - ¼ teaspoon
15. Persimmon pulp - 1 cup

How to cook deliciously - Old-Fashioned Persimmon Cookies

1. Stage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Stage

Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

3. Stage

Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir flour mixture into creamed sugar mixture.

Stir in the raisins, chopped nuts, 1/4 teaspoon salt and persimmon pulp; mix well.

5. Stage

Drop by the teaspoonful on greased or parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
